Ryan's Story

Ryan Davidson died from a head injury suffered from a motorcycle accident in June 2006. He was a 21 year old young man from the Pleasant Grove,/Hueytown area of Jefferson County.

To honor Ryan’s life and memory, friends of his share the passion for motorcycles, family members and Calvary Baptist Church conduct an annual Ryan Davidson Memorial Ride. The ride benefits the Alabama Head Injury Foundation and others in Ryan’s community. The event helped give Ryan’s family and friends a way to perpetuate his caring nature.

A family friend said, “There are few people who leave an ever-lasting memory in your heart. For me, my husband was one and the other was Ryan.”

Ryan’s mother elaborated, “Doing this Memorial Ride allowed us and Ryan to continue to do and give to others as he always did. We wish to thank Calvary Baptist Church in Concord, Pastor Jimmy King and his church members. The communities of Concord, Oak Grove, and Hueytown along with other surrounding areas have really embraced this Memorial Bike Ride. From the family of Ryan to all of the many RIDERS, we say THANK YOU with great pride, love and appreciation. We pray that the monies raised for the Alabama Head Injury will help many others.”
